Albert Pike’s Porch and the Middle Chamber: The Book of the Lodge_. This 882-page mail carrier’s nightmare is the only complete and authorized printing of Pike’s Scottish Rite ritual for the three Symbolic Degrees. It might surprise some to know that the Scottish Rite has had a “Blue Lodge” ritual since 1804, but it’s actually the form of ritual used in more countries than those of any other rite.

In addition to reprinting Pike’s ritual and “liturgy” (monitor) of the degrees, I’ve added a 100-page introduction, and included multiple appendices, including my translations of two early rituals: one worked in a Virginia POW camp in 1780, and the other, the first printing of the 1804 Scottish Rite Craft ritual.
