Verified ownerIt's alright. There are some very potent practices and ideas, but I would strongly recommend reading other sources discussing the tunnel of Gargophias as well. The book blends Gargophias the spirit, Gargophias the realm, and the practitioner conceptually in a manner that makes for a confusing read that doesn't make a lot of sense until the end. Even then, it only makes so much sense.
The rituals described seem like they'd have a lot of potency. But if you aren't successful or stable enough to have crazy amounts of privacy and silence on demand at will without bills piling up or a day job getting in the way? You will have to modify them.
The book does not hold your hand. Nor do I regret reading it. In fact, I greatly appreciate the book. It's just that some parts of the book make me want to give 2 stars, other parts make me want to give 4.
If you don't mind sifting through dark and scary imagery, and don't need someone to hold your hand with occult practices or reworking them to fit you. There is a good chance you might find some very useful things in here. However, if it is an introduction to the Qlipoth you are after. Get this book if you want, but reading other works related to the Qlipoth first is probably best.
It's not a bad book, it just could be better in some ways, and could have been longer. There could have been a bit more elaboration on what interaction with Gargophias the spirit is when compared to interaction with Gargophias the tunnel.
The connections that Gargophias has with Hecate were barely touched on.
So, yeah...
It's an alright book. It is worth grabbing simply because of limited information concerning Gargophias. But seems like you should still take it with a grain of salt.
