Manus Sinistra, the publisher of these limited edition books by Michael W. Ford have done an outstanding job with every aspect of this work. Not only the cover designs beneath the dust jacket, but the layout, font, typesetting, colour images and more make these the absolute best versions of Ford's work.
The text itself is the latest edition of Liber HVHI which has been extensively re-edited and expanded, with alot of additional art and among them the raw primal paintings that connect more with these earlier foundational works and as Ford describes are to work as sigils themselves.
This volume along with Book of the Witch Moon, Bible of the Adversary, and Luciferian Witchcraft make up the core 4 works to get if you are interested in Ford's approach, which often draw alot upon Persian demonology and magic. However in Liber HVHI, there is a good amount dedicated to the Qliphoth and meditations for each of the shells and each of the spirits at each of location, but the Ahrimanic rites and summonings are also the direction towards which the work moves.
I have always liked Ford's work in the dirty, raw and sometimes quite earthy and visceral descriptions of these inner places and the beings found there, as I found them quite effective in creating them in my mind's eye. The work also does not make an onerous demand on one's circumstances either - unlike the works of others who have impressive and expensive grimoires but that i daresay few if any have ever been able to carry out.
