A new comparative study of the life and works of Aleister Crowley and George Ivanovich Gurdjieff, in which the author David Hall draws some interesting conclusions about common historical roots of both men’s work. Hall was a familiar figure in British esoteric circles, especially on account of his editorship of the popular 1970s Thelemic journal “Sothis.” He wrote “Beelzebub and the Beast,” in the 1970s, but was unable to find a publisher at the time. The manuscript came to light after his death in 2007, and was subsequently published by Starfire, well-known as publishers of the work of Kenneth Grant. Now out of print.
