Eliphas Levi (1810-1875) was a 19th century occultist. He is the author of major works on magic and occultism; in addition to his printed works, there are numerous manuscripts, only a few of which have been printed before being lost, as is the case for the present <span class="a-text-italic">Keys</span>. This manuscript was published in 1895 by Chamuel, who reproduced the drawings from the manuscript while transcribing the texts.
